Cancelled for Non-Payment? Here’s What You Need to Know

If your auto insurance policy has been cancelled for non-payment, you can still get insurance, but your payment options may be more limited depending on how many non-payment cancellations you have had.

One Cancellation for Non-Payment

If you have had one cancellation for non-payment, some of our insurance carriers may still allow you to pay your insurance monthly.

Eligibility will depend on your individual circumstances, including your driving record, insurance history, vehicle, and the insurance company's underwriting requirements.

Two or More Cancellations for Non-Payment

If you have had two or more cancellations for non-payment, the insurance options available to you will generally require your premium to be paid in full upfront.

For the policies we can offer, you should be prepared to pay for a minimum of six months of coverage upfront.

Depending on your vehicle, driving record, insurance history, and other rating factors, this could mean approximately $3,000 to $6,000 for six months of coverage. Your actual premium may be higher or lower.

If you have two or more non-payment cancellations and cannot pay at least six months of insurance upfront, we may not be the best fit for you.

Need Insurance After a Non-Payment Cancellation?

If you have one non-payment cancellation, call us and we can check whether you qualify for a monthly payment option with one of our carriers.

If you have two or more non-payment cancellations and are prepared to pay at least six months upfront, we may also have options available.
